Yummy side or main dish
A way to "intake" vegetables
Bacon wrapped mushrooms are one of my favorite "sides." Basically bacon wrapped any vegetable is so yummy!!! I even do it with asparagus. All I simply do is cut my bacon in half, then I wrap the vegetable with the bacon. Some people use toothpicks, but I don't have them, so I just use the stem to hold the bacon in place. Growing up, my cousins and I would always throw our own bbq's in our backyard. We'd make these because they were so good. I prefer the grill because of that charred smokey flavor, but a pan will do just fine. Make it your own, add some different sauces to it, seasonings, whatever you please. I like mine very simple. Enjoy!
Bacon Wrapped Mushrooms Recipe
(Prep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 10 min Yield: 2-4 Servings)
INGREDIENTS:
1 package (16 oz) Mushroom, Whole (Any mushrooms you want)
1 package (16-24 oz) Bacon
Pinch of Salt and Pepper
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut off the tips of the stems of the mushrooms, and wipe clean using a moist towel.
2. Depending how big your mushrooms are, cut bacon in half.
3. Wrap bacon around mushroom, sealing with a toothpick, or stems.
4. In a cold pan, place mushrooms, stem up, then cook on med-low heat.
5. Cook until browned, or desired doneness.
6. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
7. Serve and enjoy!
Add different toppings, or even add some sauces. I'd like to have it with a yuzu soy sauce drizzled over, or sometimes Sriracha. They are customizable to your liking. Remember, a recipe is just a guideline so add or remove what you don't like or do like.
